Description

At Agora, we took real-time communication to the next level with the launch of our Conversational AI Engine. Now, developers can effortlessly build voice-driven AI apps by combining Agora’s real-time audio capabilities and OpenAI’s advanced AI models—making AI conversations feel more seamless than ever.

My role

I led product design for this project, defining scope with PMs, crafting end-to-end flows, and collaborating with engineers on implementation.

In October 2024, Agora launched its Conversational AI SDK in partnership with OpenAI. Partnering with OpenAI was a game-changer, bringing in major traction and sparking a flood of demo requests. We knew we had to move fast and capitalize on the momentum, so we built a demo app showcasing the SDK’s features and our AI in action to interested customers.

Rapidly design and develop a Real-time AI agent application across web, iOS and Android platforms to showcase the versatile capabilities of Agora's Conversational AI Engine.

Due to a tight timeline, this project didn’t involve user interviews or testing so I had to make some assumptions in the design process. I used research techniques like stakeholder interviews, literary research, and in depth market research to help inform design choices.

With no time to spare on novel visual explorations, I leveraged the Conferencing Design System I previously created to ensure rapid design and development.

The redesigned website led to notable improvements in both user experience and business performance. By streamlining the navigation, enhancing mobile responsiveness, and modernizing the visual design, we created a more intuitive and engaging interface for users.

  • We saw an 11% increase in conversion rate within the first few weeks post-launch.
